
For Adults, (18 and Over)
Sutter Health patients can give permission to another adult to access their medical information via the Internet. This new service, called "Proxy Access," allows spouses, adult children and other home caregivers to more easily help the patient manage his or her health care needs.
Through Proxy Access, the patient's designated representative can:
- View portions of the patient's health record
- Request renewals of prescription medications
- View test results for the patient
- Request appointments for the patient
- Send a non-urgent, secure e-Message to your clinician's office

For Children (Under 18)
The Proxy Access Program is an electronic system that allows a parent, stepparent, legal guardian, or conservator to access the online health record of children less than 12 years of age for whom they are overseeing health care. The parent, stepparent, legal guardian or conservator must be 18 years of age or older.
Through Proxy Access for Children under 12, you can:
- View key portions of your child's electronic medical record
- View and print your child's vaccination record
- Request renewal for your child's prescription
- View your child's test results
- Request your child's medical appointments (if clinician participates in scheduling feature)
- Send a non-urgent, secure e-message to the clinician's office (if clinician participates in messaging feature)
Through Proxy Access for Children 12-17, you can:
- Request your child's medical appointments (if clinician participates in scheduling feature)
- Send a non-urgent, secure e-message to the clinician's office (if clinician participates in messaging feature)
