What if I share an email address with other Sutter Health patients who are 12 or older?
If you share an email address with other Sutter Health patients ages 12 or older who have their own My Health Online accounts, each account holder will need to update their email address to one that is different from the others to protect security and privacy.
What if I manage another patient’s online health record and don’t want to use separate email addresses?
If you manage additional health records and do not want to use separate email address, you can use Sutter Health’s Proxy Access Program. This option provides you access to the online medical information of children under age 12, limited access for teens 12-17 or that of another adult 18 and older, with their permission. Learn more or sign up for Sutter Health’s Proxy Access Program.
If I currently use a shared email address to manage someone else’s My Health Online account, can I switch to using proxy access?
Yes. You can set up proxy access for teens and children through your own My Health Online account under the “Profile” tab. Select “My Family’s Records” and then click the “+ Add New” button. To switch to proxy access for another adult, you will need to submit a written request. More information and instructions can be found on our Proxy Access Program page.
What is different about the new design of My Health Online?
The fresh, new design allows you to personalize your account settings. The redesigned site’s new look and updated navigation menus help make it convenient to schedule appointments, communicate with your care team, view lab reports and more.
What if I have more questions?
Our Patient Service Representatives are happy to assist you with any questions.
Thank you for teaming up with Sutter Health to make the most of your My Health Online!
